I had the opportunity to go backpacking with my son, his girlfriend, and their friends, and I am ecstatic about it! After realizing my camping gear was too heavy for backpacking, I started collecting some new ultralight gear. I sought opinions from many salespeople, community forums, and gear enthusiast websites and spent hours watching YouTube videos. As a result, I have ended up with some nice gear without breaking the bank.
